Soccer

Welcome to Boys/Girls Soccer at Truman Middle Schoool. Welcome to Boys/Girls Soccer at Truman Middle School! Our coaches are Chris Skinner and Matt Varnon-Hughes.  Mr. Skinner is a History Teacher at Truman and he coaches boys' soccer.  Mr. V-H is a Science and Social Studies at Truman, and he coaches girls' soccer.  We invite all students to come and try out! We also have a soccer club during the off season.

Middle school students should participate in soccer to enhance their skills, build teamwork, and gain more playing experience in a fun, competitive environment.  The soccer team offers extra practice time, focused coaching, and the opportunity to play against teams from other schools, which helps players improve their technique and develop a deeper understanding of the game. It’s also a great way to meet new friends, stay active, and challenge themselves both on and off the field. Joining a soccer club fosters a love for the sport while building confidence and discipline.
